MS Access Project (.adp) and SQL server 2000

    Hello.

I would like any advice on connecting an Access project to sql server 2000.

I can connect a standard Access db to the server and link the tables etc. However, when I try to connect an Access project to it, I get error 18456 - login failed for user "<username>"

I have checked the server properties in enterprise manager and made sure the authentication is in mixed mode. I have given the user I am trying to connect with, every permission that I can find, on every db.

    Still no joy.

    Can anyone help?

An Access project seems like a good gui for an sql server app. I wish to develop.

I use Access 2000 adp's to manage a number of SQL Servers both locally and remote. Go back over your connection settings, it sure sounds like you have the wrong username and/or password.

MS Access .adp and SQL 2000

I will look at the logins on the server I am attempting to connect to.

I have tried again this morning, with slightly differing login details and simply got "Overflow" as the SQL server connection wizard error.

Does this refer to some stack overflow?
