    multiple databases

I'm new to the whole mysql thing, so i have a quick question.

Should I have a mdb for every aspect of my site?

For instance, should the "product" database be seperate for the "careers" database? Both are completly independent of one another on the site.

There is no real technical benefit from having separate database for different data within the same website (unless you are talking about massive amounts of data, which I suspect is not the case)... Most people would use the same database, but come up with a naming convention to separte the tables.
