Need Help displaying all text

I imported an Access database into SQL Server 7.0. Their is one text field truncates at a certain point. I need to know how to display all the text in this field. I tried changing the datatype and length, but nothing seems to be working. The field data consist of a narrative of an incident, so it does get pretty long. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
