Restoring Publication database

Dear Friend,
We have a setup a Merge replication between 1 Publisher and 12 subscriber. This is run over a company WAN. I was working fine till few days before we tried some utility, a VB frontend to carry out replication.
1. Unfortunately the utility has created Initial snapshot.
2. The size of the snapshot is more than 1 GB and hence we can not transfer over a 64 K line. This will take us days.
3. Replication is done once daily in the night.
4. The entire replication has stopped.
5. Only option is to send it over DAT tapes and attach at subscriber.
6. Is there a way out ? We want to rollback the publisher but do not have any backup of master & msdb.
7. The backup of Publication database is available.
Do let us know your view & possibly a solution. We will be very greatful.
