SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager read access
I have a user that wants access to the SQL 2000 Enterprise manager in order to read the databases. Is this a good idea and is there anyway to limit her to only read access while allowing her into the Enterprise manager. It has been suggested that she be given an Access program that reads the data for her. Any and all suggestions would be helpful.

Depends on Her knowledge of SQL, if she's got any then Entreprise if not MSAccess...because MSAccess is for people who are not Dev
but you should create a user login with read only in the appropriate DB, no matter what program you choose.(and try to put her in a group because when there is one...there will be other!) |
