    Question Restore Database Date

In my environment we restore production copies of the database over existing dev databases to simulate prod environment. I would like to check the last restore date before I do that just in case someone else did 5 minutes ago. I was under the assumption that the "Date Created" was this date but I just restored one and check but the time is not correct.

Could someone confirm for me on how to check when a databse was last restored?

    scratching my head....

You could check in the logs? Not sure of any other easier way...

Duh! As soon as I read your message the freaking light bulbs started flashing!

Yes, the log gives a detailed time of the last restore (as well as other good stuff...)

    Database restored: Database: XXXXXX, ...
I was in developer mode and stuck looking at the properties of the database rather than being in DBA mode and looking in the logs.

    Thnx
