splitting a table with data already in it...

i'm a newbie WAY over my head...

    i have a table called tbl_client with columns Q1_1, Q1_2, Q2_1, Q2_2

and a field for relationship called "relat_to"
and a field for group name called "group_name"

i've been getting a ton of help to work on the SQL (thx!) but i'm working on MIN and MAX and averages and the suggestion has been made to split the "questions" into a seperate table and link it to the original... the problem is that there is already info in the database and i cant lose it.... i'm using Dreamweaver to write my code and it is great but can i just go into Access and do the work there even though the access db has already been upsized to an ms-sql.... links to tutorials are greatly appreciated!!!!

I don't believe it can be done.

You should create two new tables, then copy the needed record fields into each.
