5.1 Card, not playing 5.1
Hey everyone,
This card is driving me nuts!, its supposed to give 5.1 Channel sound, just like the $60 I paid for it said. But no, this is giving me 2 Channel in music, sometimes 4 in Movies, and Ive seen 1 game use its true 5.1 Channel, but it still put out more sound to the centre speaker than anything. Ive checked Windows Settings, and re-installed both the drivers and software, the only evidence that I have that it can even play 5.1 is a diagnostic tool, and 1 or 2 games. Has anybody else had this issue. * Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Digital. * SPEED SPS-501. Thanks in advance. Nic Italiano

(^^;?(I don't know what 5.1 card can do, as I don't have such a good one.)
However, I've often seen some mark or note on the CD package etc., that is, mono, stereo, dolby surround etc.. |

5.1 surround is a touchy thing sometimes. Many times you have to set up the sound in each game and program, rather than just having it work. Some games might not support the 5.1 at all, and just output as stereo. You'll have to take it one thing at a time.
