AGP or PCI-e?

hi

was wondering what type of video card i should use. i have an old AGP one from my old computer that i think i could reuse, but since i'm building a new computer, is it worth it to just buy a new PCI-e video card to go with a PCI-e motherboard instead of buying a motherboard with AGP?

not a gamer, but i do watch movies on my computer so i guess i wouldn't need a fast video card. right now my current AGP video card i got for $10 (or something like that) so it's not as if i'm terribly attached to AGP either. would like this new computer to last quite awhile and i heard something about PCI-e being the latest thing... is it better to switch now? or will AGP be around for awhile?

... and any recommendations for good, decently priced AGP or PCI-e video cards?

thanks!

PCI-E is the next generation so that will eventually replace AGP. So if you want this computer to last for a long time then I would go with PCI-E. However, for you needs AGP will suit just as well and if you don't anticipate your needs changing in the future then save yourself some bucks and just stick with your AGP card.

I suggests you use PCI-e motherboard, eventhough you may want to se something really interesting at :

http://www.albatron.com.tw/english/news/news_pr.asp

it is about the new technology that enable AGP graphic cards being installed on a motherboards that only supports PCI-e
