I am going to purchase the ATI 9600Xt (Asus or Mentor brand) and would like to know if there are any happy users of these cards. I am reading more negative than positive posts on the general 9600XT with their performance problems.
Just to put my mind at rest that 9600Xt works fine |

I just bought mine about a week ago and have had mixed results....The Sims 2 runs very nicely, even at max graphic capabilities, but for some reason doom 3 keeps locking up on me....not sure where the problem lies, could be in the 9600 or in a million other things, i'm thinking of taking it back and grabbing a GEforce 5700 for 50 bucks cheaper.
Not sure if that helps sway the decision or not. |
