ATI 9600xt game problems

I'm not 100% sure that it is the VGA card but it seems that when i play games such as tron 2.0 and Star wars Knights of the Old Republic the game stalls up after 5 mins or so, all that i can do at that point is reboot. i have directX 9.0 and all updates for the card. any help on what could cause this problem would be helpful.

My System.
Soyo KT400 Dragon Mobo.
AMD Ath XP 1900
Corsair 512mb DDR RAM
ATI Radeon 9600xt 256mb
Turtle Beach sound card

Update

I've found out that the cause may be because of the IRQ being 16 for my VGA card when it should be 10 or 11. my problem now is that i don't know how to change the IRQ. Help please.....

i am having the same problem with my 9200. if i can figure anything out i willl let you know.

EDIT: after reading your post i realized my card is on IRQ 16 as well. Now i am thinking this is normal. Since both of us have it the same.

Not the IRQ

I have recently discovered that the card runs on IRQ 16 after i install the cards drivers, before i installed the drivers the mother board assigns the VGA to IRQ 11. i've tryed the card in several other computers and none of them seemed to work. i used a ATI radeon 9600SE in place of the 9600xt and it worked just fine on IRQ 16. i think that it is just a problem with the card and not the IRQ. i will be returning it shortly for a replacement card. i will reply with more information afterwards.
