ATI All in wonder 9600 - Monitor goes black while watching TV

Hi,
I just installed my ATI 9600 all in wonder yesterday. I'm having problems while trying to watch TV. When I select TV
from the MMC console, my monitor goes black with no display,
however I'm able to hear audio. Then I'm unable to get back to the PC mode either and the only way to turn my PC off is by
turning off the main switch.
The TV worked OK for a while until my wife clicked some
button on the TV control panel (that shows up in the middle of
the screen). There was a lock icon displayed when she clicked
the button and since then the display is off when I try to watch
TV.
I had given a password for child protection while configuring
the TV and I don't know if this is because of that.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Please help.
Your inputs will be well appreciated. Do you think if I enter my
password when the screen goes black, it will solve the problem?

Perhaps, video-overray function is broken, I have had a similar problem with your's predecessor All In Wonder 128. It could select channels, but it couldn't display TV when TV is selected, of course, no video capture is possible. While Video function is normal, weird is TV function or video overray, I decided.

As it was the used one with 2 weeks warranty, I complained of it to the vendor. He said, "Ah! it is just a incompatibility with your mobo, All IN Wonder is often the case. Because we've checked this out." I can't believe this. So I insisted that there's no reason that TV tuner or Over-Ray has something to do with compatibility, if it has, video function is more likely.

He hesitatingly gave me back the money, then I went right on to the other shop with the money. There, I found the same one at far more reasonable price but without warranty. I bought it without hesitation. And it worked complete its functions as I expected.

I don't know the recent Wonder, but I don't think the password makes the screen black. There's no reason that it makes all channels unselectable.

If the setting is wrong, the manual or ATI home page should tell you.

Did you resolve this? I think its the mobo. since i installed a new mobo (P4 Intel 865GBFL) i have had a sporadic problem w/ my ATI Sapphire Radeon 9600 vid card when i play Unreal Torunament. after an hour or so of playing, the game "freezes" and then the screen goes black. i am still connected and i hear the game but the screen is black. what I found is that if i put my PC to sleep and then restart the PC, the screen comes back but UT is screwed up (no sound), so I have to exit UT and restart UT. everything else video-wise on my computer is fine. when i start unreal, some audio file gets played that makes some kind of hi-tech swooshing sound. i am guessing that the motherboard is making this sound when i go to use the vid card. i never heard the sound with the old mobo and vid card. i never had this problem with my old ASUS mobo (which died for a differnt reason and I relaced with the Intel), so i am pretty sure that is the problem.
