Aha yeah sorry... I was acutally doubting your manliness looking at your username and the fact you were crying, and telling us about it
Yes Amazon has the warranty as does every licensed distributor of any product. (If you doubted a place you could of always contacted logitech to make sure...) I highly doubt you will be dissapointed though!!! It's either the ones in the store had the sub volume too low, a shizzyfull song or whatever. (Was it even plugged to the same audio source as the other ones???) Just keep in mind that like most things, these speakers have a break in period. So don't crank them up too loud (2/3rd too loud) during a few hours of playtime. You might also notice that the speakers sound better after a few hours then right out of the box. That because they are finished breaking in. (What I did to break them in was play a game every now and then...) Also remember to use high quality mp3s at least to get the best sound without popping. BTW: Tell me what you think about them after you've tested them with a few of your favorite songs and tell me about the sub. I might be getting these for my friend's birthday...

You think even a girl would cry over something like this? I was exaggerating. I wasn't crying at all. Anyway. Thanks for all the tips. I'll be sure to let you know what I think. Hope it doesn't take too long to get here. |

Bose speakers
Since the thread was about speakers I was wondering what the price of Bose speakers for PC's is. Can anyone tell me?

Gott'em! Ok. I've been so pumped about these things. I was tracking them with UPS five times a day. I was in class so I missed the delivery. I had to do alot of calling around trying to find out when and where I can pick my order up. On the way there I told my mom I had ordered some books. Then she finally guessed that it must have been the speakers I had discussed with her once before. I said mom don't worry, I ordered the small ones. lol You should have seen her jaws drop when she saw the size of that box. Set up was such a breeze that it's just ridiculous. I turned them on and played Let's Go by Trick Daddy ft LiL Jon and Twista and 8 Mile by Eminem. Pretty good I thought. Then I started playing some underground Memphis rap with alot of bass. I was starting to get a little disappointed because the satellites couldn't keep up with the sub. Then I remembered that I hadn't adjusted any settings on my computer. So I went to the equalizer on Windows Media Player and Real Player (because I don't have a sound card or Winamp) and made some changes. I raised both the treble and the bass and then these things really started to sound awesome. I tried to remember your advice about not blasting them too soon but I couldn't resist. I played them a fourth up for a few minutes but then I had to put these babies to the test. I have to say that overall I'm pretty impressed. I can't even listen to them a quarter of the way up without my mother complaining so that makes me happy. The satellites get very loud now that I've made changes to the computer. The bass doesn't need to be turned all the way up on most songs either, although I do love bass. The quality of the song makes a big difference too. My only dislikes so far is the wired remote. It's sort of an oxymoron when you think about it. The purpose of a remote is to control something from a distance so why attach a wire to it? I'm just going to call it the controller or "the little box". hmm what else... oh...I was thinking about getting a sound card but I don't think I need one. I'm pleased with what I have so far. The shiny black covers on the satellites look nice. This speaker goes so lovely with my silver hp computer and silver hp LCD monitor. My computer desk is black with gray bars so the whole thing is just tickin. I guess that's about it. They were putting off a funny smell at first but it's gone away. Overall I feel I got a great deal. Thanks alot for the tip. ![]() |

Oh I almost forgot. The sub is WAY bigger than what I thought. Online it looks the size of a Gamecube. And at the store it didn't look that big either. I guess it's because it was sitting next to a larger set or something. I don't know but I didn't know this thing was so huge. My mom told me to keep the satellites for the computer and put the sub in the trunk of my car.

Haha glad you like them... and just tell her that sub isn't even near powerful enough for a car!! Ya mine had a funny smell too that was coming out of the sub box, but it's just the smell of new wood and stuff. Oh yea, and it's normal the sats can't keep up with the sub right now. You'll see later on after the break-in that it will all set out equally and it will all sound right even with a flat equalizer.
