Black screen flicker on LCD Monitor
Hi all,
I just bought an LCD monitor, the Samsung SyncMaster 940BW. The native resolution for this monitor is 1440x900 @ 60Hz, and I have it configured at that resolution in Windows XP SP2. I am using the DVI input of the monitor on an ATI Radeon 9600 PRO 256MB, with the NGO 1.7.2 Drivers.
This monitor just work excellent, but when it comes to gaming it sucks. I am a Lineage 2 player and I like to play in windowed mode, not full screen. So I have the Lineage 2 window configured to a resolution of 1280x800 @ 60Hz. The problem is that I am getting a black screen flicker every now and then, and its getting annoying. If I play at full screen using the native resolution of the monitor I got no problems, but if I play on windowed mode, I get those black shots.
I even tried the Omega drivers, but the problem is just the same.
Is this related to the video card? any way to fix this? Thanks a lot!
