Burning/adding subtitles?

Hello, i've been searching for a program that just adds subs to a movie file permanently. kind of.. burns them to the file. any ideas? i don't want to convert anything..just want the subtitles to show with a file without programs like vobsub.
thanks.

Not something I've really looked into, but I've always thought you would need special software for such a task.
