Comparable video cards to NVIDIA Geforce 4200?

Question Comparable video cards to NVIDIA Geforce 4200?
Computer specs:

-Gigabyte GA-81HXP P4 Titan 533 motherboard
-NVIDIA Geforce 4200 video card

Two questions:
1) What is a comparable video card from a competitor manufacturer?
2) What is the best video card this motherboard can handle?

Check your motherboard's slot.If it is agp or pci-express slot.It's propably agp and 4200 is really very old card so anything that you'll buy now it will be better than this graphic card.Also it will be good if you post your full specs of your machine to see if it is worth to spend money for a new graphic card.

I am throwing Linux onto my old pc, and the graphics card won't work with the latest Ubuntu version of Linux.

Allow me to rephrase my question: What is the best agp-style card I can buy from ATI in the $50 or less range?
