Hi 2this007 and welcome to Dev Shed.

What is the error message that you are getting when trying to install the sound drivers ?

Please Help

i cannot change my audio input/output device through the control panel.
i use a macbook pro to run macX and XP pro sp2 operating systems.
i have an external firewire i/o that i need to set as my audio device.
works great with mac OS.
XP also recognizes the device & i updated all drivers. device manager and all hardware profiles are good, no errors, no yellow question marks. all my audio software recognize the device as well. it just needs to be set as the "go-to" device. when i go to sound devices dropdown menu through the control panel, the device isnt on the list to be set. only my sigmatel soundcard shows up.
ANY IDEAS??/? thanx
