DirectX 9.0c Shuttle
Hi,
I have a friend with a Shuttle XPC SK41G and he uses the onboard video as he's too cheap to get a good graphics card. I must say though it runs quite well on the 32Mb Shared in there. He can't play newer games on it though, like HL2 or Sims 2. He got an error about how his graphics adaptor didn't support DX9.0c - now, he has installed the new version from microsoft and that seemed to work. Know where I could get him drivers that would work on this? comp |

I guess you already tried http://www.shuttle.com?
I was looking for the minimum system requirements for HL2, but vivendi insisted that I sell my soul before entering their site.... Flash only - no way ![]() Unofficial sources said "64 mb Video Card". If this is true, your friend can not play HL2 with his current hardware. M.

Hmm tried shuttle.com but can't find anything of use - also tried various SFF forums, searching, etc.
I'm not sure what his shared card is set to - I can't remember whether it was 32 or 64 - it may be 64, I was going for memory. Well I don't think it was HL2 he was worried about as much, but the fact that his daughter likes playing Sims 2 and would have his guts for garters if he didn't get it working for her ![]() |
