DirectX 9 Support
I'm writing a chart package under .NET and I wanted to use Managed DirectX 9. The software is going to be used by a number of different people, and I was wondering if DirectX 9 is supported by the majority of video cards or should I use an earlier version? I'd hate to take the time to write this thing and have it not be able to run anywhere?

imho, most "gaming" pc users will have a dx9 card but i presume that isn't your market. My knowledge of this isn't amazing so don't take this as gospel, but if a graphics card doesn't support dx9, can't the operations be done on the cpu (allbeit inefficiently)?
If your market is the general public, i'd suggest dx7.
