Dual Screen with a xfx geforece card
hi,
im new so if i sound dumb forgive me. i want to setup dual screen on my home pc....i have the two monitors and i remember my graphics card manual saying that it supported dual screen (through nview). the thing is it only has the one vga port on the card and when i go in to the screen properties there is no nview tab in the advanced option. any help. byt the way a link to the graphics card i have, just in case: http://hardware.gamespot.com/XFX-GeForce-FX-5200-128MB-486-S-9-9 many thanks |

i have 2 nvidia cards geforce4 ti4200 and a geforceFX5950 Ultra
using windows XP both pretty much do it automatically for me if 2 monitors are connected both come on. the first time is usually cloan mode (both monitors are the same) then go to display properties and 2 monitors show up, select the 2nd monitor and click on extend my desktop on to this monitor. then you have dual display. I would suggest getting the most recent driver from nvidia.com if you haven't done so already. |

correct me if im worng -
i think Nview is just nvidia's multiple desktops. this allows you to have sorta like more than 1 computer running at once. if you want another moniter you will need to get a nother graphics card (if you have a really really old computer you can take it out of there(make sure is pci)) it will have to be pci so that you can have 2 graphics card 1 moniters per card. this is how my dual screens are. |
