Free Remote Webcam Software
I am looking for some software that allows someone to login and view a webcam remotely (ie: view office from home). Weather this is web-based or software (client-server) based it doesnt matter, but it needs to be free.
Extra pluses would be the ability to record and save from the live feed.

I think you might be struggling to find a freeware edition of this type of software. You probably would be able to get one for about £20 though.

I have found Windows Encoder seems like a good program...the only problem is that I am in a managed business office which means we are all under the same network...so we cant config ports and such for access.
Is there any software out there that allows live streaming that wont require accepting access via a messenger or port configuration? |

probably not... mainly because you're on a network.. each computer has it's own IP address associated to it. For you to remotely view a webcam associated to a particular computer within an internal network, the Internet needs to know where to route the incoming traffic to view that particular webcam. If you don't forward ports to the particular computer to accept traffic to view the webcam, then there's no way for the internet to know what to do with it. |
