fx5700 silent hill3 problems

I just bought an MSI geforce fx5700 td128 and now whenever i try to run Silent hill 3, it crashes to the desktop with no error messages after the intro movies play. The game ran fine on my old g4 ti4200. I've tried driver versions(53.04-56.64)

-I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
So far this is the only game that im having problems with and a graphics demo called tidepool which runs too slowly.
Most of my new games and graphics demos(code creatures, werewolf etc)run faster on my fx5700 than on my ti4200

windows 98 se

i would say updae the video card driver video card driver, more than likely there is an update

after that i would change the resolution and fire the game up

Be sure you have all windows patches, they had a patch for the problem of games crashing after the intro movie.
