Question Gaming Laptop, Graphics Card?

Hey, i wanna get a laptop and it is mainly going to be used for gaming, which graphics card should i get??

is the radeon mobility x600 any good?

If you want a gaming machine, build a desktop.
That said, the ati mobility 9800 is pretty fast. nVidia is coming out with a mobile 6800 pci express graphics option which will be fastest, and further down the road ATI will have a pci express card as well.

but, but but..

I know that Desktops are the ultimate option for gaming, but i really wanted to be able to take my computer around with me, Are Laptop Graphics cards actually any good?? will they play the latest games like doom3 and Unreal tournament???
I dont want like "THE BESTTT" gaming computer in the world, i just want something that will be able to handle all the latest games and not be outdated in 6 months!

any suggestions??

9800... good... laughable

the 9800 is complete rubish... the whole 9000 series sucks, it will not play doom 3 smoothly i havent had any experience with an x600 but i heard the x800 is great for running doom 3

i have an ibuypower notebook with a radeon 9600, pretty much the only game i play on it is unreal 2004 and that runs fine, but I have played HL2 on it with no problems. i've never heard these 9000 series complaints before, but the only person i know that plays doom has an nvidia. which if I was buying a notebook again, i would go with nvidia, because in my experience nvidia cards are better.
