Gateway M350 Won't play music, worn out
I have a Gateway M350 that works fine except someone played music on it so long that it does not play a thing. Just a little static now and again. I tired uninstalling sound drivers etc, nothing. Windows XP device manager does not show any problems, software etc function as if it were playing. What is worn out and how do I replace it?
Thanks Scott |

Do other system sounds work, or are you completely without sound? I'd try a complete format and re-install of windows and the necessary drivers. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to take it to a repair shop. Laptop repairs are not for amateurs.
