Hercules 9800XT problems...

Hi guyz, great forum...

I've brought a top end card and to be honest I'm quite p****d at it. I've done alot of readin up on it and there are alot of people blowing its horn but I can't see it. Okay, I've got a good 5900+ on 3DMark03 and 37,000 on Aquamark but the frame rates are low considering, Aqua says about 37 average. When I go to play nearly every game has some if not alot of lag, for instance CoD is very poor. I don't know what to do, send it back or what, ok the temperature is high around 64 idle and 70 load, but I've read that the card is hot to say the least. I've set the card to preformance in the advance setting but to be honest it's as bad as on custom settings with everything on high. The AGP aperture is 256mb and AGP x8, I seriously think it's a hardware issue, I've been told that maybe it's related to my onboard sound but I can't imagine it, but I've order a SB Audigy 2 anyway...

What games, what are the rest of your system specs, and do you have the newest drivers?

Well, I couldn't play farcry full spec nor will Deus Ex Invisible play well above 1024x768..... Call of Duty, although didn't look as sweet, ran smoother on my GeForce MX440

I'm using the latest drivers 4.4...

Damn, I forgot I wrote this, it turned out that it was the rest of my hardware that wasn't upto feeding the GPU enough power, I wouldn't ordinary relpy to a topic this old but I just googled for some images as I'm putting it on eBay after upgrading to a X800XTPE, and it came second of googles finds. And I hate to give a card I've grown to love a bad name, and feel that if even one person has been put off by my topic that's sad.

This card rocks...
