Install AGP card PIII

Hi, I am having trouble installing a video card in my AGP slot. What should I set my BIOS setting to, there are the following options:

AGP Comp. Driving
Manual AGP Comp. Driving
AGP Aperture Size

thanks,

BIOS related! may have to check my current BIOS, there a few sites around with BIOS checkers, difficult to get some of the later model cards to communicate with the earlier hardware! have you had trouble with vid card compatibilty before.

ok, the vid card I am replacing does boot from the card BIOS, however when I boot with the replacement card it comes up with vertical lines and nothing else, there is a setting on comp BIOS, AGP Comp Driving, would I need to modify this so the system BIOS knows where to look for the vid BIOS?

hi my vid card is an ATI AGP card, I was wondering if anyone would know which comp driving address in BIOS my card should be set up as? I read somewhere that C0 should be the address, but I am not sure about this?

if anyone would know this, much appreciated.
