laptop to tv

Hello,
New to this forum. Glad that i found it. Anyway, I am trying to connect my new Elonex laptop (supplied by my employer) to my TV, in order to check this feature as i would probably need to use it for work. I bought an svhs cable and hooked both laptop and tv to it. Now if I am not mistaken i should just go on the display settings and choose from there the display i need. Guess what? I have no display settings related to the video card that show. The vga card is an RC300m (dxdiag describes it as an ATI Radeon card). It uses 64mb shared memory. Can anyone tell me if this card is supposed to support such a feature and if yes how can i access it. This feature was included in the tender for purchase of the laptops so they should comply...but who knows...

Both laptops I have seem to have a standard function key Fn-F4 which toggles display outputs, if that doesn't do it I would install the latest Catalyst driver and those should have the proper display settings.
