Sounds more graphics card related. The mx4000 is kinda old. What games are you playing?

stuff like sim city 4, nascar sim racing 05(i know this one had big requirements but im over them still). i just dunno why even my screensavers are slow/freeze....its a friggin 128mb chip. im not much of a pc gm plyr anyway and my friends dell intel 2.8 ghz plus pack screensavers work perfect.

128mb of memory makes little difference compared to the speed of the memory and graphics processor, pipelines, directx version, etc.
What are the reccommended requirements for this nascar game?
I also doubt the screensaver problem is related. To solve that just untick the box "on resume, display welcome screen" in the screensaver menu.
