Hello i am building my own computer and i need to get a video and sound card to go with my motherboard. My mother board is an Abit IS7 865 chipset shown here:

If this is for general use, you probably don't need a sound card. The board has onboard sound, which I use and am quite content with. If you are more of an audiophile, the creative labs audigy series are the best. I've replied to the video question in one of your other threads

Onboard sound means the motherboard itself has a chip and outputs on the back for sound, without a separate sound card being required. It will sound acceptable to most users, but not as good as a good sound card. Onboard sound (and other onboard features) use some cpu power, but with a new cpu that won't be a problem. I use onboard sound for gaming, music, everything, and its just fine.
