New drivers for Cmedia CM19739a

windows update somtimes shows driver updates for my onboard audio CM19739a the first time I updated this the audio had an echo to it and I had to set it to padded cell for it to sound normal . I recently foun another update through windows update and installed it . this caused all my games to crash . and had to be rolled back . If I check the CMedia site the latest drivers are dated 2003 . Just where does windows get these crappy drivers from?

Windows will be downloading the latest AC97 onboard audio drivers. If they are causing a problem with your audio, then best not to download them.

reinstalled the latest driver from C-media

I down loaded the latest driver from the C-media site and even though its an older version it sounds alot better then the microsoft drivers and they dont crash my microsoft flight . It would seem that microsoft makes up these drivers themselves as they can only be found at there update site. If not why doesnt C-Media list them?
