You said nothing about what you may have done before the sound stopped working. Try reinstalling the sound driver (particularly if you reformatted)

aha, that is most likely the problem. Go into your bios, and lock the pci ratio at 33/66. The ratio is tied to your fsb, and if you don't lock it, when you overclock it will increase the pci bus speed, which can screw up things like your sound. Happened to me the exact same way.

Your mobo might not have a pci lock, so you would have to mess with the dividers to get the pci bus speed back to normal. I would say reset your bios to default settings and reinstall the sound driver, just to be sure it works. Then make note of the pci settings. If you start to OC again, you can try to change dividers to keep the pci bus at the normal speed. However, your board just isn't a great overclocker, it might not be worth your while to mess with that.

I'm not sure, but I think you might run into problems with an add on card as well, though it might work better. You'll really just have to experiment with your settings to keep the pci bus running at its normal speed (33/66mhz). If you let it get much over that you'll have problems with pci devices of many kinds.
