Go to the Microsoft site and download MS888111; my first response has a link to the MS site.
As soon as I installed it, it updated something and everything works wonderfully. |

I actually had this problem. My friend said that the card was fried. Yet, when I nuked my computer due to virus infections, it was all fixed. If it comes to that....

Another (what fixed my Sonic message) possible fix
Quote:
1. Uninstall the new high def driver: System Properties => Device Manager => Sound, video ... => High Def Audio. 2. Reboot. 3. Allow windows to "Find new hardware"; search for new driver on Internet. 4. Reboot again. I had to reboot 3 times to get the new IDT Audio Settings to appear in my task bar. Worked for me. I hope it does for someone else. |
