Wink No audio??

Go to the Microsoft site and download MS888111; my first response has a link to the MS site.

As soon as I installed it, it updated something and everything works wonderfully.

I actually had this problem. My friend said that the card was fried. Yet, when I nuked my computer due to virus infections, it was all fixed. If it comes to that....

follow those steps:

1. uninstall the driver and the application (SigmaTel)
2. Restart and upload the Bios setup
3. Go to Power.... and Disable Intel Quick Resume.
4. save the new settings [F10] and restart.
5. install the driver and the application again

Hope it works on your system.
I also disabled things i don't use, try it also.

bye

1. Uninstall the new high def driver: System Properties => Device Manager => Sound, video ... => High Def Audio.
2. Reboot.
3. Allow windows to "Find new hardware"; search for new driver on Internet.
4. Reboot again.
I had to reboot 3 times to get the new IDT Audio Settings to appear in my task bar.

Worked for me. I hope it does for someone else.
