Did you reinstall the drivers?

If you no longer have the driver (your dog ate the CD, cat thought it was a toy, etc) you can download it from Yamaha Multimedia's website

On board Sound card

I am totally clueless on this. I had my hard drive reloaded and lost my sound. I do not know what type on board sound card I have.

1. How do I find out what I have?

2. How do I get it working?

Thanks!

1). Hopefully you know the make and model of your motherboard, so go to the website and search for the drivers on there!!! If you don't, open the case up (remembering to touch the power supply before you attempt to touch any component in your PC) and the make and model should be stamped on there!

2). Install the drivers for the operating system you are using (you will then probably need to reboot the PC).

3). Then (I assume you are using Windows XP, however if you aren't then its the same sort of thing!!), goto Control Panel>> Sound And Audio Devices>>Sound Tab!!

4). Select the drop downs for Sound Playback, Sound Recording and Midi Music Playback!!

This should hopefully resolve your problem!!!

Kind Regards

Mean Machine.
