No sound only when playing DVDs
Hi,
I am the happy (till now) owner of an Asus Digimatrix, and when I play DVDs, I get no sound out of my speakers. Everything else works fine : mp3s, Audio Cds, Divx, Games,....except DVDs. I have tried to play DVD with powerDVD 6, and Home Theater, and also installed AnyDVD for region issue.Nothing worked, and first I would like to know if it a soft or hardware problem?? The image of the Dvd is perfect, just the sound is missing... I am listening to any suggestion. Thanx for your help. Fc

If audio cd's play in the dvd player, I would guess the issue is a missing codec for the dvd sound. I would think one of the programs would have what you need, but have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the players you have, just in case?
