"PC Display Settings Correct?" help..

Hello , I do not know much about fixing computers or even computers in general and I need some help. I have a 19' Samsung 977DF or something moniter that I have had since December. My specs are:

3200+ Athlon XP processor
geforce nvidia 5900SE 128mb video card
1 gig of ram ..
Windows XP Home installed

Anyway, I woke up this morning, surfed the internet a little bit, and suddenly my moniter just shut off. I checked to make sure everything was plugged in and everything seemed to be fine, but it would not just turn on. I then unplugged my 19' moniter and replaced it with an old HP pavilion 15' moniter. I plugged everything in, and the computer started up and I could finally see my desktop and what not .. I then went onto WoW (world of warcraft is the game I play, Counter-Strike also) and this message comes up and it says "Self Diagnosis: PC display settings correct?" in a blue window. I then restarted my computer, tried basically anything I could do, and I could not see my desktop! I am on the other computer right now because I cannot see anything when I start up my computer except that message.. PLEASE help me!

Thank you.

You could take that monitor to a computer that is setup correctly. I would make sure you had the correct drivers. The monitor could have just gone bad. Any more details about settings?
