PC not reading Mini SD mem card for my Phone
 I recently bought a 2GB mini SD card for my mobile phone (Nokia 6280). It works as it should in the phone. 4400 photos at top settings, 2 1/2 hours video and loads of songs. My problem starts when I plug it into the PC. There's just nothing there, as if nothing's plugged in. I tried it in the Adaptor, same thing.  I would be grateful for even the slightest bit of advice.

did the phone have to format the card?
is it running windows mobile ?

What actually happens when you insert the card ? Does the machine detect it ?

When inserted in my card reader (in the SD adapter as I only have a SD slot) it isn't detected. When I connect my phone in, it says the card isn't formatted and would I like to format? When I try to format, it starts the format but then says 'Windows could not format the card'.

It is possible that your phone is using a non-windows format for file storage. Does your phone support reading from FAT/FAT32 formatted storage cards? this is the most common format used by them. If not, you are stuck - there is no way to read the card except through an app provided by the phone.

For some reason, Monday 7th may, it worked. i did nothing to it. But now it works. thank you for your time

mini sd card not reading in xp pro
i have 2 kingston mini sd 4 gb card that when in card reader xp pro will not read them, when i put them in my mp3 player it will read and fromat but am told they are 12kb, any help would be nice.
