Pine 128 Geforce FX 5200 128 MB Problem
The issue is...I was at one point running quite fine a geforce 4 mx 440 64 MB 8X AGP Video Card on a pcchips m810lr mother board, athlon 1300 XP, 512MB RAM.....now then opt to upgrade my video from the above mentioned to a Pine 128 Geforce FX 5200 128 MB, since then I have not been able to start windows, it reaches the boot screen, then after that the monitor turns off or goes on standby (orange light appears)..or PC jus simply restarts. I uninstalled the old nvidia drivers even though they are SUPPOSE to be backward compatible, installed the newer ones, and same scenario no windows. monitor turns off or PC restarts. I tried booting to safe mode with the vid card in....same scenario, took it out uninstalled those drivers, downloaded and installed some later but not sure if the latest ones, and installed those.....same shi....scenario. Now what worsens the issue is that I'm not able to roll back o my previous graphic card, as I sold it to make buying a newer one easier. However I tried one just like it (borrowed).....same scenario. I don't know what to do. Please help.
