Plugging the CCD camera into the computer
Hi all.
I have a rather annoying problem. I have a CCD camera, JVC TK-680E, and I want it plugged into my ATI-RAGE Theater card so that I can see what it films on my computer. Now, first of all: Exactly how do I plug it in correctly? The Graphic card has Video In which is DIN-8 http://www.elfa.se/images/highres/h2620.jpg (the one defined as 8-pol) while the CCD Camera has a COAX Video Output, originally designed for a TV I suppose. I'm not really sure of this but which one of the pins in the DIN-8 jack is the one where it gets all the Video data? Because there is just one "cord" which goes from the camera. Or is this just impossible? If I can however get the video feed from the camera by using the "active pin" is there any suggested applications for just testing the camera? live feed or just snapshots works in either way. Hope I havent made it more complicated than it really is. |

I think you're a little confused about a few things. For starters, Google has never heard of your camera, which strikes me as highly unlikely. Second, I think you mean CCTV not CCD.
I think you're going to need a 'breakout box' of some sort to serve as an adapter between the camera and your video card. To go beyond that general idea I'd need to see the camera or at least have the correct name so I could find pictures on the net. |
