Power Color Radeon 9600 Pro ?

Am currently running Power Color Radeon 9000 Pro and thinking about upgrading to Power Color 9600 Pro. My AGP does not support "fastwrite".Will this card run OK with fastwrite disabled. Seems I have read that this particular card needs fastwrite enabled to work correctly.

You shouldn't have any problems with fastwrite turned off. Its when its turned on that instability can occur. Be sure to get the latest chipset drivers for your mobo if you want to do that. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend the upgrade from your 9000pro, thats just too old. Depending on your budget, also check out the 9800 pro, $212 or so on newegg.
