RCA to S-Video, or something?
Hi.
I'm planning on getting a CCD Camera with Composit video output. I have a graphic card with a video-in thingy, it looks like a coax female in a wierd way. I don't know what they call it or if its just called "video-in". Are there any special converters? Or can I just take a cord which fits in both ends and just live happily ever after?(Assuming I find the right software but thats another thing) I'd love to know what the technical definition of the "video-in" port on my graphic card is called also. Thanks. |

Well, is the video in an RCAjack or not? Is it yellow, by chance?
COmposite video out on the camera is what, RCA, 1/8" stereo jack, S-video... what? |

On the graphic card its cylindric, like a coaxial cable only there is a small white pin in the middle. The camera is RCA. |

RCA refers to a style of jack in this case. ![]() A picture would help to identify it. |

The RCA jack on the camera is standard composite video out. My problem is trying to understand what he's got on the video card for an input. Hope is right, though, a picture would probably solve everything in a second.

Guess it wasn't that important after all.
Shouldn't be fooling with that anyway, firewire rules! ![]() |

See if this site helps you figure out which input you have.
