RCA wires and plugs
hello, i need some help, i have a dvd player and a tv, both must be connected with RCA plugs, the problem is, the dvd player has three jacks: video, left audio and right audio, and the tv only two,: audio and video; by connectin tv.video to dvdp.video and tv.audio to some of the two audio jacks in the dvdplayer i get perfect video output but no audio, what do you advise to get it working??
thanks a lot

be aware, high inputs break those easily. (mine broke twice) so inexpensive stuff sometimes aren't that a good choice. whatever, my opinion... WJK |

The audio will travel the path of least resistance unless you put a diode in there. The path of least resistance is not always the input jack. For example, if you tried this trick with say a pair of boom boxes and tried to Y the inputs together into your stereo's aux input you are likely to find the sound from boom box #1 comes out of boom box #2s speakers, meanwhile you are getting nothing in your aux input. --edit This cross talk also can potentially damage the circuits as well. Get a rectifying cable, or better, use a cheap audio mixer.
