Realteck AC'97 audio issue
I dont know where the problem is, but one rear speaker do not work if i configure my audio system in 5.1 mode.
It worked fine since the begining but some day this problem began suddenly. I have Gigabyte KVM800M motherboard with VIa chipset, the sound system is integrated, i have updated to the latest driver and the problem persists, i also have checked cables and speakers, all they work fine. It'a a really weird problem since only one channel in the rears is mute, if 1 cable sends signal for two rear speakers then, why only one sounds and the other one does not?? |

Could be a problem with the drivers. Try rolling back to the previous version.

But im gonna search for another driver. Thx |

If it's happening with both sets of drivers, I don't think that this will be your problem.
Have you tried the speakers on a different pc just to double check that it isn't the speakers themselves ? |

I have checked them all, one by one and they work as should be. The problem is 5.1 mode. If i set up 4 speaker system or Stereo, all they worked, but sounds like "double stereo" front and back and you know 5.1 mode, every channel has its own signal like in the cycling sound test.
