Sigmatel audio problem w sound control

The balance on my speakers/headset keep drifting slowly, inevitably to the right. This happens on both my old system (windows xp) and the new one (windows vista), some program or shortcut key or gremlin in the works.

On the old pc I'd just pop open Advanced settings on my soundblaster card and slide the balance back. The new pc with the integrated Sigmatel High Def Audio doesn't seem to have balance sliders, or any kind of setting sliders. It lets me run configure and test the speakers, lol, but ignores the fact Right isn't working nor offer any way to fix it.

I uninstalled and deleted the drivers, reinstalled them from the resource CD, I have updated drivers and still have no volume on the right side. Are there no advanced settings for the integrated sigmatel?
