Sigmatel input monitor
Hi,
I recently purchased a laptop which has SigmaTel installed as standard and I have been unable to record music from a mixing deck directly into the laptop.
I have the correct cable connection but the mixer output doesn’t have a volume control and therefore the control lies within the laptop. I have established that the SigmaTel input monitor (Control Audio Panel) is greyed out. I have two software applications, Sony Sound Forge & Steinberg Wavelab, both are for recording music but the recording volume control is overridden (so I am told!).
Are there any settings I can change to enable the input monitor facility? Is there an alternative version of SigmaTel that I can download and install which will resolve my problem?
Thanks,
Karyn
