Sound card problem
Sorry if this is in the wrong section beforehand. I currently have a SB audigy 2 advance HD 24bit card, My headset gets a lot of static when the microphone is unmuted and during games(cs, ventrilo, etc.) I'm told it sounds like i have a hovercraft over me.Is there anyway to do away with this? Some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

do not unmute the mic. it works fine with the mute on, if a game requires a mic, you can set the hands free options in the options for the game, chat messengers the same thing.if the mic is not loud enough to others , turn on your mic gain/boost in advanced options of the creative mixer, also with the mixer open you can select recording controls, make sure the mic is selected, and the volume is up there as well.
