No sound ! help seriously needed :(

I could not hear any sound from my computer . My speaker is plugged in correctly . it should be the speaker problem . In the past , all i could do is manually go to control panels>add hardware and add "Media Control Device" .
Now , i could not even open "Add Hardware" .

I'm quite frustrated by this and i hope someone could help me with this problem . =)

How many times did you think you needed to add it? Just one should do unless it's a removable device. Did you install the most up to date drivers? (direct from the manufacturer which should be on their support site). This sounds like your problem because you're adding what sounds like a generic driver.

If that's all good but you're always tinkering with the control panel to make it work it sounds like a device conflict, such as legacy (motherboard) sound card with a soundblaster in the same box. If so disable the legacy in BIOS.
