Exclamation TV out problem

Hi all--I can't get any images from my computer to my TV (NTSC as I am in Canada).

I have read all of the posts here but unfortunately, they haven't fixed my problem. This should be a good one for the skilled:

I have a Pentium 1.6, 512 megs ram, and a Radeon 9200 (128 megs ddr) with TV out. On the video card, I have my monitor plugged in. I don't have a secondary monitor plugged into the card's other monitor plug in.

Sound is no problem.

Video is the problem: Since my TV does not have an S-Video connection, I have connected the short S-Video adapter cable (it came with the graphics card) to the card's Video out. On the end of the S-video cable adapter, I have plugged in a composite cable (it has a black end and a yellow end--I have plugged the yellow end into the Svideo adapter). Then, on the other end of the composite cable (the other end has two ends--again, I have used the yellow), I plugged its yellow end into the TV's video IN. I have the TV on the INPUT channel that a person would use for i.e. Xbox. On this channel, I can hear TV audio from a movie playing on my computer, but I don't see anything on my TV. It is black with just the 'input' text showing.

So--it seems that the video signal from my graphics card is not getting to my TV, then. That is probably why the ATI adapter interface does not recognize my TV. Even after I force recognition--no 'primary' or 'clone' buttons appear.

This is a brand new TV so a broken TV is ruled out.

Here comes the difficult part--Figuring out the right combination of system and software settings on the computer is mind-boggling. There is the Control Panel's DISPLAY's settings interface where I can set the primary and seconday monitors and extend the desktop. Then there is the ATI
ATI "(Multiple Monitors) and RADEON 9200 SERIES Properties" mult-tabbed menu that pops up when you click on Advanced in the Control Panel's DISPLAY's settings interface. And don't forget Hydravision which comes with the Radeon installation disk. ARGGHHHH!

I feel like I have tried every combination and am still unable to get images from the computer to show on my TV.

My kingdom for help!
