TV recording

Hi,

I have seen this product ( http://www.silicondust.com/products/hdhomerun/atsc/ ), I live in Canada, so I assume this is the best option for me, am I right?

What I want to do is look at the TV, program recordings and finally record recurring shows on my computer. I just want to make sure this product will do it all. I have a cable receive (HD) nearby, so, is this box will be able to receive the HD signal from my cable provider (Cablevision - www.cablevision.qc.ca) and record it? Can it do that?
