Video Card Dying?

I have a video card that I've been using for about 3 years now. I did my semi-annual cleaning of my computer by blowing all the dust out with canned air. I went to turn the computer back on and it shows the Windows XP loading screen. Afterwards, the video card stops responding and the monitor displays "Monitor will turn off in 5 seconds"

I removed the video card and used the dreadful onboard video and that is working fine. I tried putting the video card back in one more time to see if it just needed reseating but same problem.

Any suggestions?

Blow out the slot with the air and make sure the card fits all the way do into the slot.

Remove the fan or heatsink from the video card and blow the dust completely out of it. It could be overheating.
