Which dvd (+ or -) does this player support?

I looked at this over and over and it only tells me 8cm and 12cm disks. What the heck does it mean. Does it mean I can use dvd+r or dvd-r? Thanks for the help.

Dang I had a link but lost it. It just told the cd size. The model is an Emerson EWD2202 (vcr-dvd combo). I just posted here and at devhardware because I know people don't look in both forums and get some different insight.
